Scholarship Description:

This program was established in memory of Admiral Sir Gordon Tait. Through this fund, each aspirant will get the amount worth up to $4,500 per annum.

University of Canterbury is glad to announce the Admiral Sir Gordon Tait University International funding for the academic session 2020-2021. The grant is available for both domestic and international students.

The studentships are awarded in the subjects offered by the university.

Scholarship Award: 

Each aspirant will get the amount worth up to $4,500 per annum.


Domestic and international students are eligible to apply for the opportunity.

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria are as follows;

  • Applicants must hold a precious year degree.
  • Students undertaking a gap year may defer taking up the program for one year.

Applying procedure Instructions:

The following application guidance is intended for candidates who wish to apply for the scholarships:

  • Nominations are made by the school. No application is necessary.
  • Submit the copies of transcripts, statement of purpose, letter of motivation, letter of recommendation, CV standardized test scores.
  • For being admitted, you need to meet entry requirements for each qualification you plan to study.
  • To study at University of Canterbury, you need to have sufficient fluency in written and spoken English. You must satisfy the English language requirements in one sitting. The English language test must have been taken within two years of the proposed study start date at the University of Canterbury.
